While the northern part of the United States celebrates the holidays with snow filled streets, frosty feet and sugarplum treats, we in the southern states get to enjoy mostly sunny beaches and tiny, paper umbrella- topped, drinks at our favorite outdoor cafes.
For many of us who have migrated from cold places to the south, we still look forward to having our yearly, ornamented, pine scented trees (in our air conditioned surroundings of course) that remind us of the cold weather, we happily left behind.
