Education:  Master’s Degree in Literature and Civilization from the Universite de Paris VIII. Minor in Urban Planning: Final judgment “Tres Bien.” Parts of the thesis with visual support were published in Viola Sachs’ The Game of Creation (Ed. Mouton, Paris) which is now included in The Library of Congress, Washington.

Education: Architect DPLG from l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Paris, Degree in Architecture and Urban Planning. Final judgment “Très Bien.” The Architectural Diploma Thesis consisted of a two year study of the historical middle ages center of Salon de Provence, the city of Nostradamus, followed by an extensive restoration proposal of the entire Downtown area.

The son of Cuban wetbacks, Tony Guzman received his formal education at Queens College and the University of Chicago. He learned to write from reading books. (Hoo boy! has he read a lot of books!) ((A lot of good it’s done him.)) Tony is afraid of heights and women with big hair. He was once talked into doing a poetry reading from which – with the help of a shaman and a self-devised regimen of “Reverse Eurhythmics” – he eventually recovered. At some point he stumbled upon the fact that if you write reviews you get way better tickets and sometimes free food. And so, “a critic” was born.
